- The Spotify app now in the App Store, Google Play in India
- The free level is much more liberating in India.
- You still can not sign up for Spotify Premium on iOS.
- Spotify is now available for download in India on the App Store, Google Play and Microsoft Store, paving the way for the launch of the music transmission service in the country, a few hours reported its pricing information. (Spotify Premium starts at Rs. 119 per month, if interested). The application can be downloaded for free, of course, whether on Android, iPhone or Windows 10. Spotify also offers Indian users a greater taste of its offer. Due to many of the international restrictions on the free level (limited song jumps and not the selection of individual songs), they do not seem to apply in India at this time, although that could change.
There is an important difference between the Spotify application on Android and iOS now. You can not subscribe to the Spotify Premium subscription offer on Apple or Windows devices, but you can still play the music you want. (Spotify, like Netflix, does not offer premium subscriptions through the App Store to avoid paying Apple a rate cut). New registrations and logins are running on all platforms in India. Once you log in, Spotify will ask you to choose the music you like, to better recommend other things based on their algorithms.
At the time of writing, it seems that getting a subscription to Spotify Premium works in the Android application, although sometimes it shows an error that says “Spotify is not currently available in your country.” To get rid of the error, touch Get Premium on Spotify, then tap the profile icon at the top and choose to Try for free.
Spotify has customized its own navigation section, known as “Search”
The application was updated in April of 2018, to suit the tastes of India, with sections like Tamil, Telugu, Bollywood & Punjabi, with music together with genres. and collections such as pop, romance, party, hip-hop, R & B, K-pop, reggae, training, relaxation, focus, dream, summer, dinner, jazz, games, soul, classical, Latin, metal, children, blues , funk, punk, travel, comedy, country, folk and acoustic among others. Spotify also provides access to podcasts.
The music you like, using the heart icon, will be displayed in “Your library” in the Spotify app, where you can sort things by playlists, artists, albums and podcasts. You can create your own playlists, of course, and Spotify will recommend songs to add to your playlist for the title you choose.
Earlier on Tuesday, we reported that Spotify Premium prices had been revealed.
In addition to the Rs.119 per month plan, which puts it almost on par with Apple Music, can also buy one day, seven days and one, three and six months of Spotify for Rs. 13, Rs. 39, Rs. 129, Rs. 389, and Rs. 719, respectively. And if you want, you can pay a full year of Spotify in advance, for Rs. 1,189.
There is even a half membership of Spotify students. Unfortunately, however, there does not appear to be a subscription of the Spotify Family available at this time. Of all the big names: JioSaavn, Gaana, Apple Music, Google Play Music, and Amazon Music, Apple is still the only one that offers a family subscription.
